Continuum of Care for Youth
School Based Programs
South Community Behavioral Health provides a continuum of services within the school-based programs that spans from prevention to intensive special education services. All services within the school-based programs are provided on site in education-based settings throughout Montgomery and Preble counties in South Central Ohio. Students in these programs have access to quality evidence strength-based programming and highly trained staff. This includes care coordination through case management, prevention services, mental health therapy and psychiatric services. In addition, every district has access to crisis support and a crisis debriefing intervention team in the event of a catastrophic event in their district as a part of their emergency preparedness planning with our agency.
School-Based Therapy
We offer experienced child and adolescent counseling in Dayton areas schools during the student’s school hours. Our school based services also remain involved with the student and their family over the summer months to preserve achieved gains into the following year.

Prevention Services
South Community, in partnership with Montgomery County’s Alcohol, Drug Addiction, and Mental Health Service Board, offers several programs to further the prevention of mental health concerns and addiction in the youth of our community. Initiatives implemented into the school setting aim to increase children’s academic success and reduce high-risk problematic behaviors.
