Community, Inc., promotes emotional and behavioral well being through a variety of
services for children, adults and families. Mental health recovery not only benefits
individuals with mental health disabilities by focusing on their abilities to live, work,
learn and fully participate in our society, but also enriches the texture of community
life.
- Diagnostic services include the evaluation of the consumer's behavioral health needs.
- Individual, family and group counseling provide the foundation of South Community's
clinical services.
- Community psychiatric support services plan the consumer's behavioral health needs and
provide linkage to other community resources.
- Services available for adults with a severe mental disability include community
psychiatric support, outpatient and groups.
- Services for children and youth with severe emotional disturbances include community
psychiatric support, outpatient, partial hospitalization and treatment foster care.
- Psychiatric services provide assessment and medication management services and are
available as needed.
Evidence-Based Practice
South Community Inc. is attempting to close the science-to-practice gap by offering
evidence-based practices in treatments, such as:
- IDDT - Integrated Dual-Disorder Treatment, stage-wise interventions that support
recovery.
- CBT - Cognitive Behavior Therapy that teaches coping skills to help reduce symptom
severity.
- FFT - Functional Family Therapy.
- Focused Brief Therapy.
