2009 Key Accomplishments
South Community celebrated 36 years of operation
in 2009 with a continued commitment of quality service to our consumers. As a
leader in behavioral health services, we have expanded the array of programs offered to
children, adults and families and established our presence in locations across the Miami Valley.
It has been a dramatic journey since we saw our first consumer on February 4, 1974. From
our original single location, we have spread throughout the region, offering new services
to meet the changing behavioral healthcare needs of the community.
Today, South Community serves consumers from three primary
locations. In addition, we offer specialized programs at sites such as the
Adolescent Wellness Center located in the Dayton YWCA, Dayton Public Schools
Gardendale Academy and Longfellow, Huber Heights City Schools, Kettering City Schools,
Miamisburg Satellite Court, Montgomery County Educational Service Center, Montgomery
County Juvenile Courts (home-based Program) and Center for Adolescent Services (CAS),
New Lebanon Local Schools, Northmont Schools, Northridge Schools, and South
Connection After School Enrichment Program at Oakwood Schools.
South Community also offers consultation to other organizations
around such areas as quality improvement, clinical documentation and training, critical
incident response, client's rights, clinical supervision and program vision/development.
